What has this scholarship meant for you and your professional growth?

Oluwanifemi Ojo

“The FSR scholarship was a great experience for both my professional and academic growth. It provided me access to a world-class training course, ‘Clean Molecules for the Energy Transition. The course’s multidisciplinary approach brought together insights from academia, policy, and industry experts, and significantly broadened my perspective on clean energy solutions, particularly hydrogen, biogas, biomethane, and synthetic gases. Participating in this course through the scholarship set a solid foundation for my second-year master’s studies, which include a focus on decarbonization with clean molecules. As an aspiring leader in the energy sector, I gained invaluable knowledge, part of which will guide me in making informed decisions to drive the acceleration of energy access.”

Kosi Okocha

“Completing this course has bridged the gap between my current skillset and what it takes to excel in this industry, putting me in alignment with my future career aspirations of advancing clean energy solutions across Africa. This was one of the best decisions I made this past year, and I’m beyond grateful to the FSR team for giving me a chance to radically develop my competency and work within the sector to a greater level. Now, I can clearly see possible growth opportunities and many pathways ahead in my career, even as I leverage my newfound knowledge in my work in Transaction Advisory”

This training has not only broadened my expertise in clean energy and mobility but also reinforced my ability to develop informed and impactful solutions that address energy challenges in Nigeria and globally.”

Chinenye Ajayi

“As a legal practitioner and in the course of my work, I advise government agencies and provide regulatory compliance advisory. The learnings from this course has enhanced my understanding of the nuances of power sector regulation, thus, the quality of my advisory has significantly improved.”

Why did you decide to apply for this course?

Tosin George

“I applied for the FSR scholarship to deepen my understanding of the clean molecules, strategies, and frameworks needed to drive a green energy transition. Coming from Nigeria’s renewable energy sector, where decarbonization strategies are in early stages of development, I was eager to learn from the EU’s experience, which has already established comprehensive plans and policies toward achieving its ambitious decarbonisation goals.”
