La digitalizzazione alle porte del settore elettrico

La digitalizzazione sta penetrando il settore elettrico causandone una profonda riconfigurazione. Tale processo si sviluppa a partire da una serie di cambiamenti nelle infrastrutture, con la creazione di una rete di dispositivi digitali interconnessi e la dotazione di uno strato IT in grado di rendere più intelligente gli asset fisici. La digitalizzazione implica cambiamenti anche nei mercati, come le piattaforme digitali per lo scambio e il consumo. Infine, la frontiera digitale prevede la possibilità di eliminare gli intermediari tradizionali e il ruolo attivo dei consumatori per mezzo di nuove tecnologie come la blockchain, l’internet delle cose e l’intelligenza artificiale.
