Biography

Ellen is a PhD candidate in energy engineering at KU Leuven and Vlerick Business School, Belgium. During her PhD, she examines the use of flexibility in distribution networks through empirical studies, regulatory analyses, and mathematical programs. She is a co-director of the Evolution of Electricity Markets in Europe course and will join the Florence School of Regulation (FSR) as an academic assistant from October 2023. She graduated as an engineer from KU Leuven in 2019, focusing on the economic, environmental and policy aspects of the energy sector.
