Giacomo Potenza

Transport Economist, European Union Agency for Railways

Biography

Giacomo Potenza is a Transport Economist within the Analysis team at the European Union Agency for Railways (France). He joined the Agency in March 2021 and has 10 years of overall professional experience in transport. Based in Brussels, Giacomo worked as Manager at EY providing economic and financial advice on rail, automotive and air traffic management sectors to the EU Institutions for over 6 years and worked 3 years at the Italian State railways dealing with EU affairs, with a particular focus on the Fourth Railway Package reform. Giacomo also performed internships at the Community of European Railways, at the DG MOVE of the European Commission and at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU. Giacomo holds a MSc in public economics and management from Bocconi University in Milan and has a post graduate degree in air transport management from Cranfield University in the UK.
