The Clean Industrial Deal and the Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act that has been announced by President Von der Leyen is set to be a centrepiece of the next Commission’s work. She has committed that the new Commission will deliver the Clean Industrial Deal Strategy within its first100 days. Little, however, is clear as to what will, should and could be in such a Deal.
This discussion seeks to answer this question, and look at what are the needs of industry when facing the decarbonisation and competitiveness challenges.
