Réussir l’électrification des usages pour mener la transition écologique et renforcer la souveraineté énergétique et industrielle de la France. Selon les principaux scénarios, la trajectoire de décarbonation entraînera une augmentation de 35 % de la consommation électrique d’ici 2050. Non seulement cette électrification est un des principaux leviers pour atteindre les objectifs de transition énergétique, par la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, mais elle est aussi un moyen d’assurer la sécurité de notre approvisionnement, aujourd’hui fragilisée par de multiples crises qui bousculent la géopolitique de l’énergie. À cet égard, l’électrification des usages pourra contribuer directement à préserver la souveraineté énergétique de la France. Elle constitue enfin une opportunité de renouer avec la souveraineté industrielle, puisqu’elle concernera au premier chef les secteurs des transports et de l’industrie.
