Dataportabiliteit en digitale (mensen-)handel : een nieuwe kijk op gegevensbescherming

Het nieuwe voorstel van verordening inzake de verwerking van persoonsgegevens bevat een ‘recht op dataportabiliteit’, waarmee de Commissie de internetgebruiker meer controle wil geven over zijn persoonsgegevens. Naast een analyse van het precieze toepassingsgebied van dat recht, poneert dit artikel ook dat de nieuwe aanpak van de wetgeving inzake gegevensbescherming vooral in het teken van de vrije mededinging staat, eerder dan in het teken van de privacybescherming.
