FSR debating the future role of gas at CEER

FSR-CEER Fundamentals of Energy Regulation

Today, Thursday 21st September, the FSR is back in Brussels discussing the role of gas in the future. Ilaria Conti, Head of FSR Gas, is attending an event organised by the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER). The main objective of the workshop is to discuss the upcoming study on “Future Role of Gas from a Regulatory Perspective”.

The study is part of a project initiated last spring, which analyses the potential application of gas in a context of changing energy markets. Ilaria is a member of the CEER Advisory Panel for this project. During the event, the discussions revolve around three key areas: technological developments influencing the use of gas; gas application in traditional markets – heat, electricity and transportation; and changes concerning gas infrastructure.
