FSR Climate awarded a EC LIFE project

The FSR Climate team will soon start working on a EC-granted project, called LIFE DICET  – Deepening International Cooperation on Emissions Trading.

Co-financed by the LIFE Programme of the European Commission, the project will build on and take further the results of the recently completed LIFE SIDE project, which has been supporting European policy makers with the design and implementation of the new EU ETS legislation.

LIFE DICET will support EU and Member State policymakers in deepening international cooperation for the development and possible integration of carbon markets. Specifically, the project will focus on the international carbon market cooperation between the EC and the regulators of other major ETSs, namely, California-Quebec, China, Switzerland and New Zealand. The project will start on 1 September  and will last for 27 months. A dedicated project web site will be created in September and linked from this web site.
