Discussing Energy Market Design with D. Ristori and M.A. Cañete in Brussels, 18 February 2016

Jean-Michel Glachant, Director of Florence School of Regulation,  has been invited to attend the Roundtable on Energy Market Design and Regulation during the transition to low-carbon generation, which will take place in Brussels on February 18.

The roundtable will be opened by Dominique Ristori, Director General  for Energy of the EU Commission and continue with the launch of the IEA Report ‘’Re-powering electricity markets’ introduced by Fatih Birol. Successively, the Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete will present the new initiative on Market Design.

During the discussion, Jean-Michel  will share his views on Market Design based on his recently published report A conceptual framework for the evolution of the operation and regulation of electricity transmission systems towards a decarbonised and increasingly integrated electricity system in the EU’.
