Designing new models for the “Utility of the Future” – New York

New York

On 29th March, the FSR Director, Jean-Michel Glachant, has been invited as a speaker at the Workshop ‘New Business and Regulatory models for the Utility of the Future’, organised by KAPSARC (King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center) in New York.

The event will investigate the role of technology in the revolution of electricity systems and analyse the evolving regulatory and business models that have to cope with the increasing penetration of Distributed Energy Resources in the power sector.

Jean-Michel Glachant will present in the Session titled: ‘Regulation to accommodate technological disruptions in the power markets’, and will explore the current regulatory framework and the different alternatives for market design and operations.
