Towards a climate-neutral Europe | Jos Delbeke

In this video lecture, Jos Delbeke, EIB Chair on Climate Policy and International Carbon Markets at the Florence School of Transnational Governance, introduces the issue of human-induced climate change and highlights its inherent international nature. Jos then provides an overview of climate diplomacy and the international agreements that have been signed over time. After that, he zooms in and discusses at length the key pillars of the climate policy developed by the European Union in the context of the EU Green Deal.

This video lecture is part of the EU Green Deal online course – 2021 edition.

This course has been discontinued in 2025 and replaced by a new online course, Getting to Net Zero, still featuring Jos Delbeke as part of the faculty.
