Research Assistant – Electricity

Main tasks include:

  • Researching the ongoing reform of electricity markets in Europe;
  • Analysing the latest developments to modernise distribution networks to support the energy transition with regulatory challenges such as anticipatory investments, the assessment of flexibility needs, calculating of hosting capacity, and flexible connection agreements;
  • Following up on, and contributing to, the latest developments on DSO topics arising from the EU Electricity Market Design reform, EU Action Plan for Grids and the new Network Code on Demand Response;
  • Contributing to the development of an executive training course on distribution grids. Qualifications and experience Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • BA in Economics, Engineering or related field;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy regulation in Europe acquired through previous research and/or working experience.

Desirable:

  • MA in Economics, Engineering or related field;
  • Proven experience in working on energy markets;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modelling tools.
