Lavinia has joined the FSR Energy Law & Policy department in September 2017. Her research interests revolve around European Energy Law, Energy Regulation & Policy, Internal Energy Market Design, the European Network Codes and Guidelines that regulate the gas and electricity transmission networks.
Prior to the FSR, Lavinia completed a one year traineeship in the Gas Department of the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In November 2016 she graduated with Distinction from an LL.M in Oil and Gas Law with Professional Skills, at the University of Aberdeen. Between 2012 and 2015 she has advised international oil and gas companies on their exploration and production activities within Romania and Eastern Europe. Lavinia obtained her Bachelor`s Degree in Law in 2012, and defended her first Master`s thesis called `The worldwide implication of the International Commercial Oil and Gas Arbitration in the Middle East and North Africa` in 2015, after having pursued an LL.M in International Commercial Arbitration at the University of Bucharest, Romania.
