Biography

Teodora Serafimova joined FSR-Transport as Research Associate in January 2019. She is responsible for analysis and research on transport regulation and network industry topics, with a particular focus on sustainability and decarbonisation. She is in charge of producing the series of policy briefs ‘European Transport Regulation Observer’, based on the main outcomes of FSR-Transport Forums. Teodora hosts FSR-Transport’s podcast series ‘On The Move’, where she records conversations with mobility experts on the European Green Deal and its implications for the transport sector.

Before joining FSR-Transport, Teodora was employed by the environmental NGO Bellona in Brussels, where she was in charge of EU policy development and analysis in the field of transport decarbonisation. Her focus areas have included EU legislation relating to the deployment of electric vehicle recharging infrastructure, green public procurement, and fuel economy standards.

Prior to that, Teodora has gained work experience in international organisations, including the European Commission’s DG Environment (Brussels) and the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat (Bonn). Teodora holds a BSc in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has obtained a Master in Advanced International Studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
