Valerie is part of the FSR research team in electricity regulation. Her main research interests are the EU Electricity Network Codes and the EU Clean Energy Package.
Before joining FSR in September 2018, she worked as Junior Expert at the Technology Platform Smart Grids Austria. There she was responsible for European Affairs and was also part of the project management team of ‘Integrating the Energy System’, a research project on interoperability of data exchanges in the energy system.
Valerie holds both a BSc and a MSc degree in Renewable Energy Engineering (University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, Austria) as well as a BA in European Studies (University of Passau, Germany). Next to her studies, Valerie worked at the EU Representation Office of Oesterreichs Energie and the Austrian TSO Austrian Power Grid.
