Peggy Valcke is full time Research Professor at K.U.Leuven where she teaches Media Law and current Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law & ICT (ICRI). Peggy obtained her Ph.D. in Law with a dissertation on “Pluralism in a digital interactive media environment: Analysis of sector specific regulation and competition law”. She has been involved in various research projects in the area of Media and Communications Law, (user-generated content, mobile television, e-publishing and online journalism, public service broadcasting and state aid, co- and self-regulation in the media, privacy in electronic communications and social networks). She edits the International Encyclopaedia of Media Law and is a member of the editorial board of many journals.
