Miguel Vazquez is the Head of the Energy Innovation Area at FSR and Part-time Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (European University Institute). His interdisciplinary research work focuses on energy market design and innovation policies in the context of the energy transition.
In his career, Miguel advised governments, regulatory authorities, utilities, industrial associations and multilateral institutions on gas and electricity industries matters in Europe, Latin America and Asia. He also developed quantitative models for both short- and long-term studies of energy markets.
Miguel holds a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and he is currently Visiting Scholar at the George Washington University, Washington DC, USA.
