Isabella Alloisio

Finance and Fiscal Lead at ECCOClimate
Biography

Isabella Alloisio is Finance and Fiscal Lead at ECCOClimate, independent energy and climate change think tank. She is advisor of the Florence School of Regulation Energy and Climate of the European University Institute, and a senior visiting fellow at the Centre for Finance and Development at the Geneva Graduate Institute. She teaches energy and climate policy, sustainable development and climate finance at Ca’ Foscari University and State University of Milan.

Isabella was research associate at FSR Climate (EUI) and senior researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), where she led the Sustainable Development and Climate Finance Research areas. She was scientific coordinator at the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG). She co-founded and managed the Italian hub of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). She was Scientist at the Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) and Project Manager at the Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators.

Isabella holds a Ph.D. in International Law and Economics from Bocconi University, and a M.Phil. in International Relations from the Geneva Graduate Institute. She was Visiting Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley. She worked at the United Nations Secretariat in New York and in Geneva, and she was Parliamentary Assistant at the European Parliament.

Italian by nationality, she has lived in the Unites States, Switzerland and Belgium. Isabella speaks Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.
