Andrea is Intellectual Property Manager at the Tuscany Life Sciences Foundation (fTLS) at the branch office of the Tuscany Region, where he works alongside the Office for the Valorization of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Research (UVaR) collaborating on the definition of policies and tools to support the valorization processes of biomedical and clinical research of University Hospitals and Universities in Tuscany. Since 2006 she has been involved in technology transfer and clinical research management, first at the Liaison Office of the University of Siena, and since 2008 at fTLS and then UVaR.
Since 2010 he has collaborated in the development and management of the Tuscan District of Life Sciences, taking care of the interface with the Region and the regional clinical-assistance areas.
Andrea has a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, and a PhD in Molecular Medicine. Andrea has worked as a development engineer in STMicroelectronics, working two internships in 2008/2009 at NIH OTT and Case Western Reserve University working in their respective technology transfer offices.
