The FSR C&M has exceptionally opened Block 4 of its Annual Training on News Business Models, Innovation and Regulation of the Digital World to additional participants.
Block 4 will focus on Internet Technology, Law and Economics of Big Data, Cloud and Security. International well-known speakers will talk about these crucial issues in an interactive and constructive way.
The first day will focus on Data: Prof Helberger will open the proceedings by introducing the topic and FTC Senior Advisor Aaron Burstein and EC Deputy Head of Unit Beatrice Covassi will then talk respectively about the US and EU approach. The day will close with an open debate.
The second day starts with a lecture by Prof de Streel on Data and Competition Law. Prof Edwards will then discuss the intriguing aspects related to the Cloud, the Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Security.Lastly, Anne-Lise Thieblemont will focus on the Cybersecurity Market.
On the third day, former UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights and Counter-Terrorism Prof Scheinin will talk about surveillance and give an overview of the SURVEILLE project. Block 4 will finish with the Director of the FSR C&M Prof Parcu giving a lecture on Internet Economics, with particular emphasis onnumbers and figures.
The deadline for registering is the 4th of April and the participation fee is 2000 Euro
