The interactive 2-day training organised within the framework of the STORE&GO project will guide you through technical, economic, business, legal and regulatory aspects of Power-to-Gas (P2G).
This interdisciplinary training builds upon the practical experience of 27 STORE&GO partner organizations and companies from all over Europe, which joined forces to integrate P2G technology into the future of the European energy system.
Registration is open to all professionals (institutions, utilities, associations, academics and researchers) or students of any level who are interested in having a deeper understanding of the Power-to-Gas technology and its role in the decarbonisation of the EU economy.
No specific academic background is required. The language of instruction is English.
This training will provide specialist insight into:
The integration of a rising share of variable renewable energy sources in the energy system is one of the major challenges of EU energy transition. P2G technology may help smooth over this transition as it offers the possibility to convert intermittent electricity from renewable sources into the form of gas, which can then be easily transported and stored in already-existing gas infrastructure. All in all, this process contributes to the decarbonisation of gas, which currently satisfies a quarter of the EU energy needs.
Despite the fact that P2G technology is already mature, no business cases based on P2G have emerged that confirm its impact on the energy sector. This training however won’t shy away from the topic and will expand on the current legal, technical and economic barriers to the widespread deployment of P2G technology.
The participation in the training is free of charge.
We will accept up to 25 participants, based on the quality of submitted applications.
There are 5 seats reserved for the FSR Donors.
All potential candidates are kindly requested to fill in the registration form and upload the following documents:
