ABSTRACT

This edition of the European Transport Regulation Observer focuses on the 7th Florence Air Forum, where we discussed the current situation of Drones Regulation and, in particular, the new challenges posed by the proliferation of civil drones .

This Observer contains contributions from:

  • Matthias Finger on Regulating drones: what is the right approach?
  • Giovanni Sartor and Giuseppe Contissa on The Alias project: using the Legal Case to address the legal risks of automation
  • Marc Baumgartner and Anthony Smoker on Will Unmanned Vehicles modernise Air Traffic Management?

The European Transport Regulation Observer is a series of Workshop Paper aimed at highlighting some of the most interesting issues and remarks of the Florence Forums from the perspective of applied research, providing the readers with some news on the topic and additional suggestion for further readings.
